Wanted fugitive Ralph Serrano, 61, was apprehended in Sumter County after a standoff with law enforcement.
Serrano, highlighted as the Wanted Person of the Week by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, faced charges of Felony Battery and had failed to appear for court. His resistance led to an additional charge of Resisting Arrest.
The successful arrest was made possible through the combined efforts of the Sumter and Citrus County Sheriff’s Offices, along with the US Marshals Taskforce.
Serrano is now in the custody of the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and will be extradited to Citrus County to face the original charge there.
