A 20-year-old Golden Gate Estates resident, Cesar Ramirez-Lopez, was arrested Thursday following an investigation by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and its task force partners.
The arrest took place at Ramirez-Lopez’s residence on 711 21st St. S.W. in Naples after CCSO, in collaboration with the Southwest Florida INTERCEPT Task Force and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant.
“This arrest is one more example of our INTERCEPT Task Force’s commitment to investigating crimes that exploit our most vulnerable citizens, our children,” said Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “We will continue to pursue child predators and bring them to justice.”
The INTERCEPT Task Force, a coalition aimed at combatting trafficking and exploitation, initiated the investigation after receiving multiple cyber tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Between September 2023 and February 2024, these tips flagged dozens of uploads to Facebook involving child sexual abuse and bestiality content. The videos depicted children as young as three years old in sexual acts with adults, as well as adults engaged in acts with animals.
Detectives identified Ramirez-Lopez as the suspect through investigative means. During the search of his residence, several digital devices were seized from his bedroom for forensic analysis.
Ramirez-Lopez was present during the search, interviewed by detectives, and subsequently taken into custody. He faces 14 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and 34 counts of possession of bestiality images.
The investigation remains ongoing.
