Jacksonville Police have arrested 15-year-old LeBron Jacobs in connection with the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Ken’yade Jones. On October 5, 2024, officers responded to a call at an apartment complex in the Hogan’s Creek neighborhood, where they found Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
After an extensive investigation, which involved collaboration with the State Attorney’s Office, Jacksonville homicide detectives identified Jacobs as the suspect. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and Jacobs turned himself in last week. He has been charged with the murder of Ken’yade Jones and is currently being held at the Duval County Jail.
