Citrus County Sheriff Unveils New Executive Team to Strengthen Public Safety and Community Engagement

Citrus County Sheriff David Vincent has unveiled a new Executive Team to lead the Sheriff’s Office into the future with a focus on enhancing public safety, fostering community engagement, and ensuring operational excellence. Sheriff Vincent expressed his commitment to leadership that prioritizes vision, transparency, and innovation.

The team consists of seasoned professionals, each bringing a wealth of experience in law enforcement and community service:

  • Calvin L. Adams, Jr., Chief of Staff
    As Chief of Staff, Adams will serve as the primary advisor to Sheriff Vincent, assisting with strategic initiatives for the Sheriff’s Office. A Florida native and retired Colonel with over 30 years of service in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Adams is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and has extensive experience in organizational leadership, budgeting, and policy development. His background also includes serving as Fire Chief with the Crystal River Fire Department.
  • David M. DeCarlo, Executive Director of the Office of Community Engagement and Transparency
    DeCarlo, who entered law enforcement in 1987, has extensive experience within the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. His career spans roles including Deputy Sheriff, Investigator, Captain, and Emergency Management Director. With a BA in Criminal Justice and an MBA, DeCarlo is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between the Sheriff’s Office and the community, overseeing initiatives in public engagement and volunteer coordination.
  • Thomas Bosco, Administrative Support Bureau Commander
    Bosco brings 28 years of law enforcement experience, having previously served as Bureau Chief of Support Services at the Florida Department of Financial Services. He will manage administrative functions such as Human Resources, Finance, and Communications, ensuring the Sheriff’s Office has the necessary resources to fulfill its mission.
  • Bobby Lambert, Law Enforcement Bureau Commander
    With a career in law enforcement dating back to 2004, Lambert has worked in various roles, including SWAT Commander and Special Operations Division Commander. A combat veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and graduate of the Southern Police Institute, Lambert will oversee all frontline law enforcement operations.

Sheriff Vincent expressed his enthusiasm for the new team: “Together, we will work tirelessly to uphold the values of integrity, accountability, and service that our community expects and deserves. One community, one goal, and together we are stronger.”

The new Executive Team will assume their roles on January 7, 2025, and will focus on advancing the Sheriff’s mission to improve public safety and community engagement.
