Clermont Man Arrested After Fleeing Scene with Drugs and Stolen Vehicle

On January 16, 2025, a proactive patrol by a Lake County K9 deputy led to the arrest of 59-year-old Johnny Sizemore after a suspicious encounter on Lake Louisa Rd., Clermont. The deputy noticed a vehicle parked on the road with no license plate and significant front-end damage. Standing nearby, Sizemore was observed pacing erratically, appearing frantic and confused. Upon seeing the deputy’s patrol vehicle, Sizemore attempted to walk away from the scene.

Suspecting the vehicle might be stolen or involved in an accident, the deputy approached Sizemore. Despite commands to stop, Sizemore continued to walk away, prompting the deputy to deploy a taser for compliance. Sizemore was quickly taken into custody.

Upon search, deputies discovered approximately 8.4 grams of Methamphetamine and 16.2 grams of Fentanyl, a trafficking quantity, along with a scale and a glass smoking device. The substances field-tested positive, and Sizemore admitted to using the glass pipe to smoke methamphetamine.

Sizemore was transported to the Lake County Jail and is facing multiple charges related to the illegal substances found in his possession.
