A 36-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, January 16, 2025, for multiple counts of Lewd and Lascivious Exhibition after exposing himself to several students riding a school bus.
The investigation began on January 14th when several students reported to their parents that they witnessed an adult male in a car exposing his genitals while driving alongside the school bus.
One student submitted an anonymous tip to FortifyFL, an anonymous reporting system, which included videos of the incident and the suspect’s vehicle, including the tag number. The parents contacted the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) to report the incident.
Special Victim’s Unit (SVU) Detective Levi Garrison quickly identified the suspect as Freddy Richie Parisi, a registered sex offender with a history of sexual offenses. Garrison worked with School Resource Officer Rodriguez and School Resource Officer Morton to identify additional juvenile victims who had witnessed and videoed the incident.
“This case is a prime example of strength in unity through community members working with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office to protect the children of Citrus County. The multiple children affected in this case told trusted adults who quickly notified law enforcement. As a result, this investigation came to a swift resolution,” said Detective Garrison. “I appreciate the assistance of our team members within the Criminal Investigations Division, Patrol Division, and the School Resource Officers who assisted in this investigation. I am also appreciative of the assistance from the Citrus County School District Police Department who contributed vital evidence to this case. We plan to work closely with the Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office moving forward to seek justice for the victims of this case.”
Parisi was arrested and charged with five counts of Lewd and Lascivious Exhibition.
Citrus County School District Chief of Police Rachel Montgomery praised the students for their quick action and encouraged all students to report any suspicious or concerning behavior.
Parisi has been a registered sex offender in Florida since 2007, with a prior conviction for Sexual Battery by a Juvenile (under 12 years of age) and Lewd and Lascivious Conduct. He was sentenced to 10 years in that previous case and required to register as a Sexual Predator. Parisi was released from the Department of Corrections (DOC) in 2015 after serving his sentence.
