St. Johns County Predator Arrested on Multiple Child Sex Abuse Charges

In October 2024, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) Special Victims Unit (SVU) detectives arrested 21-year-old Ali Aldemar Moreno on charges of Capital Sexual Battery involving an 11-year-old victim.

Moreno, posing as a 15-year-old boy on the social media platform Snapchat, groomed the child. He subsequently picked her up near her bus stop and assaulted her.

During the ongoing investigation, detectives identified additional victims and suspect there may be more.

Moreno is currently incarcerated at the St. Johns County Jail facing charges of:

  • Capital Sexual Battery
  • Traveling to Meet a Minor
  • Online Solicitation of a Minor
  • Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
  • Possession of CSAM
  • Unlawful Use of a Two-way Communication Device

Parents and guardians are urged to have open and honest conversations with their children about the dangers of social media and the grooming tactics of online predators.

If your child has been victimized by, or has had any contact with Moreno, please contact SJSO immediately:
