On Friday, January 24, 2025, detectives with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau were conducting an investigation in Leesburg, Florida, which led them to the residence at 933 Main Street. The investigation was supported by detectives from the Mount Dora, Eustis, Leesburg, and Clermont Police Departments.
During the operation, detectives encountered two individuals, Robert Riley, 57, and Rakesh L. Holiday, 27. The detectives seized approximately 9 ounces of methamphetamine, valued at about $1,800.
Further investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at a storage unit, where detectives seized an additional 9 ounces of cocaine with an estimated street value of $9,000.
As a result of the investigation, both Riley and Holiday were arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (over 200 grams but less than 400 grams). They were initially denied bond and appeared before a judge the following morning. The judge granted each a bond of $200,000.
