On Tuesday, February 4th, at approximately 1:21 p.m., Hendry County Deputies responded to a call from a man reporting that his neighbor had been shot at 750 Midstate Loop Road in Clewiston. The caller provided information about the suspect’s vehicle, which was last seen leaving the victim’s residence.
By 1:30 p.m., the Clewiston Police Department located the vehicle and apprehended the suspect. When Major Crimes Detectives arrived on scene, they found the victim lying outside the home.
At this time, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear as detectives work to piece together the events leading up to the incident. Authorities have emphasized that this appears to be an isolated case and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
