Citrus County Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges Following Cybertip

On February 6, 2025, detectives with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) High Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU), in collaboration with agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), executed a search warrant at a residence in Floral City.

The investigation stemmed from a Cybertip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that indicated Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) was being accessed from that residence.

Detective Patrick Martin, with the CCSO HTCU, investigated the Cybertip, identified the residence, and obtained a search warrant.

During the search, authorities seized multiple electronic devices belonging to 60-year-old Terry Lee Patricoff.

“Working cases involving Child Sexual Abuse Material are emotionally difficult, but also extremely rewarding,” said Detective Patrick Martin. “Every time an offender like Patricoff views or sends CSAM, they are promoting the production and distribution of these types of images and videos, victimizing countless children. As investigators, we are thankful that the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office gives us the training and cutting-edge digital forensic tools to identify, find, and arrest predators like Patricoff, making our community a safer place.”

Patricoff was arrested on 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Transmission of Child Pornography. He is currently being held at the Citrus County Jail with no bond.
