Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Homicide Unit detectives arrested 38-year-old Falen Decoda McNeil following the fatal shooting of her boyfriend, David Cruz, early Saturday morning, February 15, 2025.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting on Teresa Avenue near Pearl Street. Upon arrival, McNeil approached officers and stated that she had shot Cruz. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
After reviewing evidence and conducting interviews, detectives arrested McNeil for murder. She is currently being held at the Duval County Jail.
