Kabreshia Caldwell, 47, has been linked to 10 cases involving thefts from elderly women in Clay County, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
Caldwell targeted elderly women at grocery and retail stores in Clay County during 2022 and 2023. She would follow them through the stores and steal their wallets from their purses when the victims were not looking.
CCSO detectives conducted a thorough investigation, revealing a statewide fraud case and Caldwell’s involvement in similar crimes in other Northeast Florida counties. It is estimated that she stole over $10,000 from victims.
Caldwell was initially arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol and is currently serving a prison sentence on unrelated charges. She has since been transferred to the Clay County Jail, where she faces 31 various charges from multiple agencies.
