Motorcycle Crash Leaves Two with Life-Threatening Injuries in DeLand

A motorcycle collision with a pickup truck early Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025, resulted in two people being hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Police and fire units responded to the intersection of North Woodland Boulevard and Palm Street at 6:13 a.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a pickup truck traveling west on Palm Street attempted to turn left (southbound) onto Woodland Boulevard when a northbound white Kawasaki motorcycle crashed into it.

The motorcyclist, a 26-year-old male, was airlifted to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach via the Volusia Sheriff’s Office Air 1 helicopter. A passenger in the rear of the pickup truck was also transported by ambulance to Halifax Health.

Both individuals sustained injuries believed to be life-threatening. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
