A 34-year-old woman was shot and killed late Saturday night, leading to the arrest of a 17-year-old male suspect the following morning.
Hendry County Deputies responded to a home in the Port LaBelle area at approximately 11:00 p.m. on March 29, where they found Priscilla Danielle Hallihan unresponsive with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives identified and arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with the shooting on Sunday morning. He has been charged with Homicide, Attempted Homicide, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Tampering with Evidence, and Use of a Two-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony. The suspect has been transported to a Department of Juvenile Justice facility.
Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden described the incident as a “senseless murder” and stated that investigators are continuing to follow leads.
