Dannel Larkins, one of the six men charged in the January 2025 murder of 7-year-old Breon Allen, is now facing an additional Murder charge for the death of 43-year-old Valondia Norris in April 2024. Larkins is the second individual to be linked to both killings.
On April 22, 2024, patrol officers discovered Valondia Norris deceased from a gunshot wound at an apartment complex in the Charter Point area. Following a meticulous review of evidence, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Homicide Unit identified 20-year-old Dannel Larkins as the suspect in Ms. Norris’s death.
Larkins was already in the Duval County jail, having been charged in March for Breon Allen’s murder, when the second Murder charge related to Ms. Norris was added.
This marks the second arrest connected to Ms. Norris’s death. In January, 21-year-old Keith Johnson was arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact and Tampering with Physical Evidence in that case. Johnson is also facing charges in Breon Allen’s murder.
The JSO Homicide Unit affirmed its commitment to seeking justice and stated they will collaborate closely with the State Attorney’s Office to ensure Larkins faces the maximum legal consequences for the deaths of both Breon Allen and Valondia Norris.
