The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is calling on the community to assist in the search for a suspect connected to the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Aaliyah Gonzalez of Naples.
Detectives have identified 19-year-old Antonio Licout, also of Naples, as the suspect in this case. Licout is currently wanted on an active warrant for charges including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, and shooting or throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle.
Sheriff Kevin Rambosk emphasized the dedication of the investigators, stating, “Thanks to outstanding investigative work our detectives have identified Antonio Licout as the person responsible for this terrible crime. They are now working tirelessly to locate and arrest him.”
The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of April 10th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Gonzalez was with a group of friends in the vicinity of Ponce de Leon Drive and Airport-Pulling Road when they were approached by another group, which included Licout. According to detectives, an altercation ensued between the two groups. As Gonzalez and her friends attempted to leave the area in a vehicle, shots were fired at the vehicle. One of the bullets struck Gonzalez, who was in the back seat, in the head. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Detectives describe Licout as a white male, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He has hazel eyes and dark, curly hair. He also has several tattoos on his arms, including a distinctive tattoo on his left hand that resembles a skeleton hand.
The investigation remains active, and the State Attorney’s Office will review the evidence upon Licout’s arrest, with the possibility of additional charges being filed as deemed appropriate.
