The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Garey Anthony Buscaino, 48, of Pensacola, on numerous felony charges related to child exploitation. At the time of his arrest, Buscaino was employed as an Escambia County firefighter.
Buscaino faces seven counts of video voyeurism of a child under 16 years of age, 30 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. The arrest is part of FDLE’s ongoing statewide initiative targeting individuals who exploit children and share digital files depicting their sexual abuse.
The FDLE investigation began in April 2025 after agents received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip alerted agents to a cellphone user who was uploading child sexual exploitation files to a cloud account.
Further investigation identified Buscaino as the account holder. Agents discovered that Buscaino had allegedly concealed video cameras and secretly recorded a juvenile in various stages of undress.
On May 15, FDLE agents executed search warrants at Buscaino’s primary and secondary residences. During the searches, multiple electronic devices were seized. A preliminary forensic review of these devices revealed several videos of voyeurism and hundreds of files containing child sexual abuse material, some depicting children as young as four years old.
Buscaino was arrested without incident and subsequently booked into the Escambia County Jail. The State Attorney’s Office for the First Judicial Circuit will prosecute the case.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) provided assistance in this investigation, which remains active.
