Altamonte Man Arrested for Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Donald Eugene Waterman, 62, of Altamonte, on six felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest stems from FDLE’s statewide initiative targeting individuals who exploit children and share abusive content online.

The investigation began on April 7 after agents received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children (NCMEC), reporting that an individual had been downloading files depicting the sexual abuse of children. Investigators identified Waterman as the suspect involved.

On June 10, FDLE agents executed a search warrant at Waterman’s residence, seizing multiple electronic devices. A forensic examination of the devices revealed numerous files containing child sexual abuse material, with some victims as young as 4 years old.

Waterman was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Seminole County Jail. The Office of Statewide Prosecution under Attorney General James Uthmeier is handling the prosecution.

The investigation remains ongoing.
