Auburndale Man Arrested for Peeping into Neighbors Homes

An Auburndale man, Tyler Mountain, 28, was arrested on June 11, 2025, accused of repeatedly peeping into the homes of two female neighbors, stemming from an investigation that began in late April.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) started investigating complaints about suspicious behavior by Mountain on April 30. Other residents of his mobile home park reported that Mountain appeared to be surreptitiously recording or photographing people inside their homes using his cell phone.

At the conclusion of the investigation, a detective determined that Mountain had:

  • Entered the curtilage of Victim 1’s residence and peeped inside with a cell phone on two separate occasions.
  • Stepped onto Victim 2’s landing outside her residence on two occasions for voyeurism.

All four known incidents occurred during overnight hours.

On June 11, Tyler Mountain was booked into the Polk County Jail and charged with:

  • Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling (2 counts)
  • Voyeurism (2 counts)
  • Stalking (2 counts)
  • Loitering & Prowling (2 counts)

Authorities also noted that Mountain was previously arrested by the PCSO in November 2023 for exposing himself to two different women in two separate incidents.
