Man Found Guilty in Clay county of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Trafficking

Bryan Harvey has been convicted by a Clay County jury of Trafficking in Fentanyl and Trafficking in Methamphetamine. With this verdict, Harvey now faces a maximum of 30 years in Florida State Prison. The Honorable Steven Whittington will set Harvey’s sentencing date later.

The conviction stems from an incident on January 23, 2025. Detectives with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office were conducting surveillance in Middleburg when they observed an SUV fail to stop at a stop sign. They initiated a traffic stop, and upon pulling the vehicle over, they discovered Harvey was in the front passenger seat and had an active arrest warrant.

As detectives detained Harvey, they reportedly saw a bag of pills on his seat and a bag containing a crystal-like substance on the front passenger floorboard. A K9 unit was deployed to sniff the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A further search uncovered additional narcotics inside a cigarette pack located between the front passenger seat and the console, where Harvey had been seated.

The case was investigated by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Richard Natto Jr. and Brandi Moravek.
