More Than 1,200 Grams of Fentanyl Seized in Brentwood Drug Bust; Five Arrested

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Narcotics detectives seized over 1,200 grams of fentanyl and arrested five individuals following a drug bust at a home on West 27th Street in the Brentwood area. The raid followed a tip that the residence was being used to distribute dangerous drugs into the downtown Jacksonville area.

Detectives with assistance from the District 5 Task Force executed a search warrant at the location last week and discovered a large quantity of illegal narcotics and firearms.

Seized items included:

  • 1,200+ grams of Fentanyl
  • 1,387.2 grams of Cathinone
  • 492.5 grams of Crack Cocaine
  • 165.1 grams of Powder Cocaine
  • 115.2 grams of Ecstasy
  • 7.1 grams of Heroin
  • 6.2 pounds of Marijuana
  • 5 firearms (one stolen, one with an illegal switch)

According to law enforcement, the quantity of fentanyl recovered is enough to kill more than 600,000 people.

The following individuals were arrested and face felony charges:

  • Yahya Ali, 48
  • Alshawn Martin, 47
  • Bilal Ali, 20
  • Tywanna Davenport, 40
  • James Johnson, 54

The residence was located near a church, a public library, and Andrew Jackson High School.
