20-Year-Old Arrested After Man Shot Multiple Times in Beverly Hills Home Invasion

On Saturday evening, July 19, 2025, deputies and detectives with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Beverly Hills that left one man critically injured. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Elijah Jacob Foster, was taken into custody and is facing multiple felony charges.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 10:40 p.m. to a residence on North Washington Street following a 911 call reporting a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, deputies encountered a female witness and a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds to the neck, arm, hand, and groin. The male victim fled to a nearby residence to seek help and was later airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, the suspect confronted the female victim as she exited the home and forced his way inside at gunpoint. He then proceeded to the back of the residence and opened fire on the male victim.

Foster was identified by both victims and located shortly after the incident. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Citrus County Detention Facility. He is charged with:

  • Attempted First Degree Murder with a Firearm
  • Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Without Intent to Kill)
  • Home Invasion with a Firearm

Foster is being held without bond. The investigation remains active.
