Pensacola Man Arrested for Traveling to Meet Minor for Sex, Child Exploitation Charges

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Chad Forster, 32, of Pensacola, on multiple felony counts related to soliciting a minor and child exploitation. The arrest is part of FDLE’s statewide initiative targeting individuals who solicit children online for sexual relationships and share child sexual abuse material.

Forster faces one felony count each for traveling to meet a minor for sex, soliciting a minor to engage in sexual activity, and promoting the sexual performance of a child, in addition to two felony counts for sending harmful material to a minor.

The investigation began in September 2024 when Forster initiated communication with an undercover agent posing as a juvenile girl. Throughout their communication, Forster allegedly solicited the child persona to engage in sexual activity, including requesting child sexual abuse material and sending explicit images of himself.

Through continued investigative communication, the undercover agent arranged to meet Forster at a local movie theater on July 24. Upon his arrival, FDLE agents arrested Forster. He was transported to the Escambia County Jail and booked without bond, pending his first appearance.

The State Attorney’s Office, First Judicial Circuit, is prosecuting this case. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
