On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at approximately 6:25 a.m., Lake City Police officers responded to a disturbance reported on NE Washington Street.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses and the victim inside the residence. The investigation revealed that 32-year-old Tamirria Anshiari Jackson unlawfully entered the home and physically assaulted the victim while they were sleeping.
Jackson struck the victim multiple times in the face with a hammer. Emergency medical personnel assessed the victim at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital for further treatment.
Jackson was arrested and charged with Burglary of an Occupied Structure and Attempted Second Degree Murder.
