Violent Felon, Mexican National Arrested By FDLE in Orlando for Illegal Reentry

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Orlando, working with multiple federal and state agencies, has arrested Arturo Perez-Rodriguez, a Mexican national with a history of violent crimes, who was wanted in Ohio for illegally reentering the United States after a felony deportation.

Rodriguez has prior charges including assault, bodily injury, unlawful entry into a residence, and re-entry after deportation. Authorities confirmed he is in the country illegally.

The arrest was carried out by members of the HSI Orlando Homeland Security Task Force, which includes FDLE, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Orlando, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement & Removal Operations’ Orlando sub-office, the U.S. Marshals Service, IRS Criminal Investigation, and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

Rodriguez is being returned to Ohio to face charges related to illegal reentry after felony deportation.
