FHP Trooper and Bystander Rescue Injured Man from Flaming Vehicle in Sumter County Crash

This weekend in Sumter County, Florida Highway Patrol troopers were responding to a crash when a secondary collision occurred, causing both vehicles to catch fire. An occupant trapped inside one of the burning vehicles was unable to escape.

A trooper and another individual acted quickly to rescue the man by extracting him through the rear window before the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The injured passenger received medical treatment following the rescue.
