On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Lake City Police responded to a report of a suspicious person acting erratically in the parking lot of Walmart, 2767 West U.S. Highway 90. Columbia County Combined Communications informed officers that an unknown male, completely nude, had been chasing employees in the parking lot and fled toward the wooded area north of the store.
Officers canvassed the area and located a male on his hands and knees in the woods. The individual appeared agitated and paranoid. Officers attempted to communicate with him, but he remained largely nonverbal and incoherent. Concerned for his safety, officers requested Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and placed the subject in hand restraints for his own protection.
The male was escorted from the woods to a patrol vehicle and transported by EMS to HCA Lake City Medical Center for evaluation. At the hospital, the subject initially could not provide identifying information but later stated his name as “Raheem.” After several attempts to verify his identity, the subject was medically cleared for transport to the Columbia County Detention Facility.
Once at the detention facility, a Rapid ID fingerprint scan confirmed the male’s identity as 33-year-old Rakime Triondre Johnson, who is homeless. Johnson was arrested without further incident and charged with Indecent Exposure and Resisting an Officer without Violence.
