LIVE OAK, Fla. – A Live Oak mother and her boyfriend have been arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child following the death of a two-year-old boy, according to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, October 13, 2025, at approximately 3:06 p.m., deputies and Suwannee County Fire Rescue personnel responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive child at a residence in the 22900 block of 128th Path. CPR was already in progress when first responders arrived. The child was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators observed injuries on the child that were consistent with ongoing physical abuse and neglect, including extensive bruising, swelling, and other trauma inconsistent with explanations given by the caregivers.
After interviews and evidence collection, authorities arrested 33-year-old Christian Nicole Parnell and 33-year-old Curtis David Willey, both of Live Oak. They are being held at the Suwannee County Jail.
Additional charges may follow pending the results of an autopsy and further forensic analysis. The investigation remains active, and no further details have been released.
