Snapchat Drug Deal Turns Violent, Three Arrested in Lake City Armed Robbery

LAKE CITY, Fla. – Three suspects, including a juvenile, were arrested following an armed robbery that deputies say stemmed from a marijuana deal arranged over Snapchat and ended with a victim held at gunpoint and assaulted in a Lake City driveway.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 2:50 a.m. on January 8, 2026, to a residence on Southwest Elizabeth Court after a report of an armed robbery. The male victim told deputies that his girlfriend’s iPhone 16 and marijuana were taken during a deal that quickly escalated into violence.

Investigators said the victim reported he and his girlfriend were in the driveway to sell marijuana to an individual known as “Trey,” whom he had communicated with via Snapchat. When a vehicle arrived, Trey exited and allegedly pointed a handgun at the couple. Two additional masked men then got out of the same vehicle and began searching both victims at gunpoint for more items.

Deputies said one of the masked suspects punched the female victim in the face before all suspects fled the area in a white car.

After executing multiple search warrants and conducting follow-up interviews, detectives identified the primary suspect as 21-year-old Trey Michael Jacobs. Investigators worked with the Union County Sheriff’s Office while attempting to locate Jacobs and assisted with a search warrant at a family member’s home in Union County.

During the investigation, detectives determined Jacobs’ girlfriend, 23-year-old Bridget Alexandria Butcher, helped him evade arrest. Butcher was taken into custody on January 10 and charged with accessory after the fact to armed robbery. She was booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.

Later that same day, Jacobs was located in Columbia County and arrested. He was charged with robbery with a firearm, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.

A third suspect was later identified as 16-year-old Camario Jamal Walker. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and on January 12th, Walker was taken into custody. He was charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and booked into the detention facility.

As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested three suspects, recovered the stolen iPhone, seized two firearms, multiple magazines, and more than 120 rounds of ammunition.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at 386-719-2005 or Crime Stoppers of Columbia County at 386-754-7099 to remain anonymous.
