Security Guard Arrested After Teen Injured in Altercation at Osceola Juvenile Detention Center

KISSIMMEE, Florida – A security guard has been arrested following a physical altercation with a 15-year-old resident at the Osceola County Juvenile Justice Detention Center in Kissimmee that left the teen hospitalized, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded on January 21, 2026, to the detention center at 2330 New Beginnings Road after reports of a physical confrontation between the juvenile and a security guard. The 15-year-old sustained a head injury and was transported to a hospital, where he received stitches.

After conducting interviews with witnesses and those involved, detectives identified Charles-Edouard Jeune, born October 29, 1993, as the suspect in the incident. On January 26, Jeune voluntarily reported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and was taken into custody without incident.

Jeune is charged with three felonies: child abuse, aggravated child abuse, and battery on a prisoner with great bodily harm.
