ORANGE PARK, Fla. — Two people were injured early Sunday morning after gunfire erupted at an apartment complex in Orange Park, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called around 1:00 a.m. on February 8 to the Victoria at Orange Park Apartments, located at 1710 Wells Road, following reports of multiple shots fired. When deputies arrived, they found two individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives learned that four individuals were standing outside an apartment building when the suspect allegedly began firing from inside his unit. Authorities say the suspect continued shooting as the victims attempted to flee. Two additional individuals were present but were not injured.
Investigators identified the suspect as 18-year-old Dimond Crawford. According to CCSO, all parties involved are known to one another and have reportedly been involved in prior disputes.
Crawford was arrested and charged with four counts of Attempted Murder without Premeditation and one count of Tampering with Evidence. He was transported to the Clay County Jail, where he is being held on a $750,015 bond.
