JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) conducted a citywide traffic enforcement operation targeting aggressive and impaired drivers, issuing hundreds of warnings and citations across Duval County.
The operation, known as a “Wolfpack,” brought together deputies from the sheriff’s office Motor Unit, DUI Unit and Traffic Unit for coordinated enforcement aimed at curbing dangerous driving behaviors.
Officials say the effort focused on drivers who were speeding, tailgating, weaving through traffic or driving under the influence.
During the enforcement operation, deputies issued:
- 533 written warnings
- 430 traffic citations
- 4 arrests
The sheriff’s office said the Wolfpack initiative is part of an ongoing effort to address complaints from residents about reckless driving on Jacksonville roadways.
Authorities said additional enforcement operations are planned in the future as deputies continue targeting drivers whose behavior puts others at risk.
Officials are urging drivers to slow down, maintain safe following distances and avoid driving under the influence.
The JSO said aggressive driving not only violates traffic laws but also creates dangerous situations for everyone sharing the road.
