JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two men were arrested after a drug bust at a smoke shop in Jacksonville led to the seizure of large quantities of narcotics, firearms, and cash, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
District 6 Patrol officers responded on March 29, 2026, to a smoke shop on Lem Turner Road after receiving information that a wanted drug trafficker from Gainesville was inside. When officers arrived, they observed illegal drugs and firearms in plain view.
Authorities said the investigation led to the seizure of approximately 600 grams of methamphetamine pills, 500 grams of methamphetamine crystals, 3 grams of cocaine, and about 10 pounds of marijuana. Officers also recovered drug paraphernalia, five firearms, and approximately $8,000 in cash.
Working alongside narcotics detectives, officers arrested 21-year-old Frank Maddox, who was wanted on drug trafficking charges, as well as 33-year-old Anthony Denson, who faces multiple drug-related charges in connection with the case.
“We won’t stand for anyone pushing poison in our community,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “Our officers are vigilant against narcotics offenses, and if you’re dealing drugs, we will find and stop you.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
