PALM COAST, Fla. — A Palm Coast man was arrested on domestic violence and resisting charges after allegedly fleeing from deputies who were investigating a domestic disturbance Saturday afternoon.
Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at approximately 5 p.m. on June 6 to a reported domestic disturbance on Wheeler Place in Palm Coast.
According to investigators, deputies were speaking with the victim, who had suffered multiple scratches, when 48-year-old Carl Gray fled through the back door of the residence.
As deputies searched the area, a resident on nearby Wheeldon Lane contacted the Flagler County Emergency Communications Center to report a man matching Gray’s description running through their yard.
Deputies quickly responded and located Gray running down a roadway in the area. Following a brief foot pursuit, deputies apprehended him in the front yard of a residence.
Gray was arrested and charged with domestic battery and resisting arrest without violence.
He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held on a $3,500 bond.
The investigation remains ongoing.
