JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to more than 21 years in federal prison following a drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.
According to federal court records, 47-year-old Charles Curtis Williams sold methamphetamine, fentanyl, and crack cocaine to an undercover detective on seven separate occasions during 2025.
Investigators said Williams was arrested while traveling to another planned drug transaction. During the arrest, law enforcement officers recovered bags of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and fentanyl from his vehicle.
Following the arrest, federal agents executed a search warrant at Williams’ residence.
During the search, investigators seized a loaded firearm with an additional magazine, oxycodone pills, crack cocaine, cocaine, individually packaged fentanyl intended for distribution, and drug trafficking paraphernalia, including scales, baggies, a beaker, and a ledger documenting drug sales.
Due to his prior criminal history, Williams was classified as an Armed Career Criminal under federal law, resulting in an enhanced sentence.
A U.S. District Judge sentenced Williams to more than 21 years in federal prison.
The investigation was conducted jointly by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.
