Logan Litton

Marion County Man Arrested for Exploiting Teens Online

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Major Crimes Detective Melvin Coates charged 26-year-old Logan Litton with three counts of Using a Computer to Solicit a Child, six counts of Directing a Sexual Performance by a Child, and one count of Utilizing a Two-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony.

On July 12, 2026, MCSO was made aware of possible child sexual abuse material (CSAM) located on Litton’s phone. The reportee advised that Litton released his phone to her when he was arrested on July 10 for Domestic Battery and gave her permission to enter the phone to obtain bank account information. During the search for this information, she located sexually explicit messages between Litton and a teen boy. In these messages, Litton portrayed himself as a 17 to 18-year-old girl named “Cassandra”.

On July 15, 2026, Detective Coates interviewed Litton at the Marion County Jail and confronted him about his online activity. Litton admitted to using several websites pretending to be a teenage girl and typically communicating with boys between the ages of 16 and 18, but even as young as 14 years old. He advised that he had chatted with around five underage boys, and most of them sent CSAM to his cell phone.

Detective Coates continued his investigation and reviewed the digital forensic extraction of Litton’s phone. During the review, he located additional explicit conversations with three boys between the ages of 12 and 14. In these messages, Detective Coates discovered that Litton, acting as “Cassandra”, directed the juveniles to perform sexual acts on themselves and each other, film the activity, and send it to him.

Litton was charged while in custody at the Marion County Jail for Domestic Battery, where he remains without bond. Detectives believe that Litton has other victims, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Coates at (352) 368-3586.
