On July 27, 2024, at approximately 1:51 a.m., the Port Orange Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the 1900 Block of Creekwater Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 13-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was promptly transported to a hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting was accidental. The incident remains under active investigation by authorities.
