Jacksonville Man Arrested After Burglary Call Leads to Seizure of Firearms and Drugs

On Monday, December 30, 2024, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) District 2 patrol officers responded to a burglary in progress and uncovered a large stash of firearms, drugs, and cash at a residence.

With assistance from the Narcotics and Vice Section, officers executed a search warrant, leading to the arrest of 25-year-old Sean Duncan Reed of Jacksonville. Reed, previously arrested in April 2024 on gun and drug charges, now faces multiple felony charges.

Items Seized During the Search:

  • 7 firearms
  • 167 pounds of marijuana
  • 37.3 pounds of marijuana edibles
  • 120.4 grams of marijuana oil
  • $7,660 in cash
  • $10,000 in jewelry

Charges Filed Against Reed:

  • Trafficking in marijuana exceeding 25 pounds
  • Possession of paraphernalia for drug manufacture or delivery
  • Knowingly owning or renting a structure or vehicle for drug sales
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use

Reed’s bond was set at $102,500, which he posted on January 1, 2025. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 22, 2025, at the Duval County Courthouse.
