Pinellas County Detectives are investigating a double homicide after discovering two deceased adult females at a residence on the 5252 block of 108th Street North on Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a homicide at approximately 10:14 a.m. Upon arrival, they found 34-year-old Christina Donzero deceased in a bedroom with multiple stab wounds. The second victim, 75-year-old Betti “Suzanne” Thevenet Donzero, was found in the garage, also with several stab wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities located the suspect, 41-year-old Kirk Hysell Jr., in the home’s bathroom suffering from self-inflicted injuries. He was transported to a hospital. Detectives reported that Hysell told his daughter he had killed his girlfriend and her mother, prompting her 911 call. The suspect and both victims resided at the same address.
According to detectives, Hysell confessed to the murders, stating he initially intended to kill the entire family and would “do it again” if released. He remains hospitalized and will be transferred to the Pinellas County Jail upon his release, facing two counts of First-Degree Murder.
The investigation continues.
