A recent undercover narcotics investigation by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) Special Investigations (SIU) Unit has resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs and a firearm.
On March 20, 2025, SIU Detectives, with assistance from multiple SJSO units including Air Unit, SWAT, RTIC, K9, and Task Force, executed search warrants at two residences located at 932 Puryear Street and 924 Puryear Street.
During the search of 924 Puryear Street, detectives discovered drug paraphernalia indicative of drug manufacturing and trafficking, along with approximately 5 pounds of Marijuana, over 4 pounds of Methamphetamine, 1.25 pounds of Cocaine, 7 ounces of MDMA, and one firearm. A large amount of drug paraphernalia was also located at 932 Puryear Street.
As a result of the operation, three individuals were taken into custody:
- Megan Adams (36) was arrested for resisting arrest without violence, maintaining a drug dwelling, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Charles Wright (45) was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
- Noel ‘Chris’ Tobler (55) was located and apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service. He is facing multiple felony charges including Armed Trafficking cocaine (28g to 150kg), Armed Trafficking methamphetamine (14g+), Possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, Maintaining a drug dwelling, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
