William Conway Broyles, 60, has been sentenced to life in Florida State Prison after pleading guilty to three counts of First-Degree Murder for the 2021 killings of his wife, son, and daughter, State Attorney Melissa Nelson announced.
On December 1, 2021, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from Broyles, who informed dispatchers that he had shot his family members and was waiting outside his home. Deputies arrived at the residence in Callahan and located Broyles lying on his back in the driveway. He was taken into custody without incident.
Inside the home, deputies discovered three victims — two women and one man — all deceased from gunshot wounds.
Following his arrest and after being read his Miranda rights, Broyles provided a detailed confession, admitting to the killings and explaining how the crimes were carried out.
The case was investigated by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Alan Mizrahi. Sentencing was handed down by the Honorable Stephen Fahlgren.
