18 Arrested Over Memorial Day Weekend in Flagler County; Drugs and DUIs Top Charges

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) made 18 arrests during the Memorial Day weekend between 6 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, and 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Deputies responded to 1,143 calls for service and conducted 293 traffic stops during the increased enforcement period.

Two Women Arrested for DUI in Separate Bunnell Incidents

On Saturday night, while responding to a weapons complaint on Holly Lane in Bunnell, deputies encountered Renee Vaudreuil, 59, operating an all-terrain vehicle. Deputies detected signs of intoxication and arrested Vaudreuil for DUI following a failed field sobriety test. She was booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and later released on a $1,000 bond.

In the early hours of Sunday, deputies observed a vehicle swerving on County Road 305, nearly striking a mailbox. The driver, Mae Ann Grace Rozelle, 38, was arrested after showing signs of impairment and failing field sobriety tests. She was also released on a $1,000 bond.

“Ahead of Memorial Day weekend, I warned drivers that our deputies would be out in full force to keep our roadways safe from drunk drivers, but these two clearly missed my message,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “There is never an excuse to drink and drive, whether you’re behind the wheel of a car or an ATV, and these ladies earned themselves stays at the Green Roof Inn with their dangerous actions.”

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Trafficking Arrest in Palm Coast

On Monday night, deputies stopped a vehicle at Rose Drive and Rolling Sands Drive in Palm Coast for running a stop sign. A K-9 alerted deputies to narcotics in the vehicle driven by Tram Nguyen, 37, of Palm Coast. A search revealed eight plastic bags of marijuana hidden in the engine bay.

Nguyen was arrested for possession with intent to sell and placed in a patrol vehicle. During transport, deputies observed her removing an item from her pants and attempting to discard it under the front partition. The item was recovered and identified as a plastic bag containing 28 grams of methamphetamine.

“This woman thought she could outsmart our deputies, first by hiding drugs in the engine of her car thinking they wouldn’t find it then by hiding more drugs in her pants and throwing it away in the back of a deputy’s patrol car thinking he wouldn’t see it,” Sheriff Staly said. “Unfortunately for her, our deputies are highly trained, and these kinds of tricks won’t work on them!”

Nguyen now faces additional charges of trafficking in amphetamine and tampering with evidence. She remains in custody at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on a $160,000 bond.
