Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Gang Unit officers intercepted a vehicle near the annual Duval Day celebration in Northwest Jacksonville this past weekend, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of multiple firearms and marijuana.
Thousands gathered for the Duval Day festivities, enjoying music, food, and entertainment. However, JSO officers were on alert for those not celebrating responsibly.
The Gang Unit’s vigilance paid off when they stopped a vehicle near the event. Inside, detectives found five firearms, including one that was reported stolen, and 20 grams of marijuana.
The three individuals arrested were:
- Malik Kimble, 28, charged with possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana.
- Duran Kimble, 19, charged with carrying a concealed firearm under 21 years old.
- Caleb Palmer, 23, arrested on an out-of-county warrant with extradition.
JSO reported a successful and safe Duval Day celebration for the community.
