Four Arrested After Armed Robbery and Police Chase in Haines City

HAINES CITY, Fla.—Four individuals were arrested Wednesday evening following an armed robbery and a subsequent police chase in Haines City.

Haines City Police responded to the area of Temple Court and Temple Circle after an armed robbery was reported. The victim told officers he was in town for a marijuana sale arranged by his cousin. While at the arranged location, a red vehicle pulled up, and six males got out, robbing him at gunpoint of marijuana, a backpack, and cash before fleeing.

The victim then drove away and called law enforcement from the area of 2525 10th Street North. Officers quickly located a red vehicle matching the description and attempted to make contact, at which point the vehicle drove off with its doors open.

The vehicle eventually stopped, and the occupants fled on foot. Officers pursued and were able to detain four individuals, one of whom was a juvenile. The following individuals were taken into custody:

  • Terrone Jermaine Hawkins Jr. was charged with Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer with Lights/Sirens Activated and Resisting Officer without Violence.
  • Diante Johnson Jr. was charged with Resisting Officer without Violence.
  • Geoni Jordan was charged with Robbery with a Firearm/Deadly Weapon and Resisting Officer without Violence.
  • A juvenile was charged with Robbery with a Firearm/Deadly Weapon and Resisting Officer without Violence.

The Haines City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is handling the ongoing investigation and is working to identify and locate the remaining two suspects.
