On Wednesday evening, November 26th, around 5:00 p.m., St. Johns County firefighters responded to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of State Road 16 and S. Francis Road in St. Augustine.
Upon arrival, crews found a two-vehicle crash that completely blocked the roadway. One occupant was trapped inside their vehicle. Firefighters from Squad Co. 4 quickly worked to extricate the individual.
All three patients involved were transported to local trauma centers in serious but stable condition. Two of the patients were trauma alerts, with one requiring air transport.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
