St. Johns County, FL — Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in a residential burglary in the Beacon Lake neighborhood.
According to investigators, the burglary occurred on February 25, 2026, around 7:03 p.m. at a home on Concave Lane in St. Augustine.
Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the property through the backyard and walking to the rear sliding door while using a flashlight.
Authorities say the suspect cut open the screen door before breaking the glass sliding door to gain entry into the home.
Detectives said the suspect went in and out of the house multiple times over a period of about 15 minutes.
During the burglary, the suspect reportedly stole a black file cabinet and a briefcase.
The individual was seen wearing a light-colored hat, a black face mask, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, a dark-colored vest, light-colored pants, and light-colored shoes.
Investigators say a suspect’s mannerisms, such as the way they walk or move, may help someone recognize them.
The Sheriff’s Office is also asking if anyone saw an unfamiliar vehicle parked near the JEA facility, a green gated site near the corner of Beacon Lake Parkway and Concave Lane, between 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. that evening.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit at SOpropertycrimes@sjso.org.
