Miranda and Timothy Ard

Tallahassee Couple Arrested in Fraud Investigation Involving Property Management Company

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee police have arrested two individuals following an investigation into the alleged misuse of funds connected to a Leon County property management business.

Miranda Ard, 42, and Timothy Ard, 47, were taken into custody after detectives determined they had fraudulently used funds tied to CORE Property Management, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

The investigation began in early October 2025 after police received information about financial irregularities involving the company’s handling of a client’s property portfolio. Detectives launched an inquiry and obtained banking records as part of the investigation.

Authorities said their review of financial records uncovered evidence that funds connected to the client’s property portfolio were commingled with CORE Property Management’s operating account. Investigators also identified multiple transactions from the company account that were allegedly used for personal expenses.

Police said those expenditures included personal travel, cruises, gambling, beauty services, dining, entertainment, and other purchases not related to business operations.

As the investigation progressed, detectives executed search warrants at the business location in Leon County and at a residence in Wakulla County connected to the company’s owner.

Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, Miranda Ard and Timothy Ard were arrested and charged with Organized Scheme to Defraud Over $50,000 and Grand Theft.

“This case underscores our commitment to protecting individuals and businesses from financial crimes,” Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said in a statement. “Fraud and financial exploitation can have a significant impact on victims and our entire community. Our detectives will continue working diligently to hold those responsible accountable.”

Police said the investigation remains active. Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the Tallahassee Police Department or submit tips anonymously through Crime Solvers.
