Jacksonville Beach Man Arrested Following Months-Long Investigation into Child Exploitation

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — A 33-year-old man has been arrested following a months-long investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.

Spencer Thomas Patton, of Jacksonville Beach, was taken into custody on March 25, 2026, after detectives executed a search warrant at his apartment on The Greens Way.

The investigation began in January when detectives with the department’s Special Investigations Unit, working as part of the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, received a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children regarding suspected illegal material being uploaded online.

During the investigation, authorities identified Patton as the individual allegedly in possession of the material.

With assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, detectives executed the search warrant at Patton’s residence, where investigators said they located child sexual abuse material.

Patton was arrested and charged with possession of more than 10 images of child sexual abuse material. Officials said the total number of images remains under forensic review.

He is currently being held in the Duval County Jail on a $175,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
