JSO Releases Video of Arrests in Teen Takeover At Blue Cypress Park

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has released body-worn camera footage from an incident involving a large gathering of teens that led to multiple fights at a city park.

According to JSO, more than 200 teenagers gathered at Blue Cypress Park on March 18, 2026, for what was described as a “Jacksonville teen takeover.” Authorities said fights broke out during the gathering, prompting officers who were already nearby to intervene.

Officials said the situation disrupted others who were using the park, forcing some to leave as the gathering escalated.

The sheriff’s office said it actively monitors social media for events like “takeovers” and warned that future gatherings will be addressed.

Authorities also urged parents to stay informed about their children’s activities and social interactions, noting that these types of events are often organized online.
