Ivan Rodriguez Pagan in court

43-Year-Old Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison in Lake County for Repeated Crimes Against Minor

LAKE COUNTY, FL — A 43-year-old Clermont man will spend the next quarter-century in state prison following a conviction for the repeated sexual abuse of a minor. On Monday, April 3, 2026, Ivan Rodriguez Pagan was sentenced to 25 years in prison, to be followed by five years of intensive probation.

The sentencing follows a January trial where a jury found Pagan guilty on all counts, including:

  • Two counts of Sexual Battery (Victim 12–18 Years of Age)
  • Lewd and Lascivious Molestation
  • Indecent, Lewd, or Lascivious Touching
  • Battery

Investigation and Disclosure

The case against Pagan began in July 2024, initiated by the Clermont Police Department after receiving a referral from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office regarding a prior sexual battery.

The investigation revealed a year-long pattern of abuse involving at least four separate incidents. The victim eventually disclosed the abuse to a complainant, who immediately contacted law enforcement. During a specialized interview at the Lake Sumter Children’s Advocacy Center, the victim provided investigators with detailed accounts of the assaults, which took place at a residence in Clermont.

Prosecution and Sentencing

Based on the victim’s testimony and the subsequent police investigation, an arrest warrant was issued, and Pagan was taken into custody shortly thereafter.

Assistant State Attorneys Shannon Schlarf and Tyler Duffy led the prosecution for the State of Florida. The 25-year sentence ensures that Pagan will remain under state supervision well into his 70s.
